In the interest of strengthening the livelihoods of Bolivian families, Bolivia’s Plurinational Mother Earth Authority, part of the Ministry of the Environment, signed an agreement with Natura to design and implement environmental management programs related to climate change adaptation, and watershed and forest protection. These programs implemented under this agreement will be within the framework of Bolivia’s Joint Mechanism for Mitigation and Adaptation. While signing the agreement at the office of Natura Foundation on October 30th, the Director of the Plurinational Mother Earth Authority, Julio Gutierrez, noted “all competent entities in the field must articulate efforts against climate change to protect Mother Earth and to build a decent life for future generations”.
